Yair Meyuhas

2024

In 2018, I decided to embark on a professional and personal experiment. Working as a stills photographer had accustomed me to thinking, creating, and working alone. My ability to engage in dialogue had withered, as had the sharpness of my creative instinct.

Eventually, I became ready to share my uncertainty and doubts, and to find ways to include collaborators in the act of photography— in this case, artists and creators from a range of disciplines, most of whom I had met during my work as a photographer, and now wished to work alongside as a co-creator. All that remained was to determine what kind of framework would enable us to experiment. This book is an invitation to witness the outcome of 52 encounters, held for 52 weeks—exactly one year.
