(A walk to) The Rose Garden
2025
Created as part of the “Comic Connections” project in collaboration with illustrator PORSZA, as part of the Poznan Comics Festival. Leading up to the festival, a group of 12 artists and illustrators were invited to create together in pairs an illustrated story which began in two separate places and met in the middle (the centerfold). Together with PORSZA, we decided to create a comic which presented the daily ruminations of a wondering and reflective mind in an associative and poetic manner. My own contribution, “The Rose Garden”, I drew using pencil “writing” the text via the use of a letter ruler. The story began in an illustrative style, which continued to disintegrate into abstracted visual signals throughout its progression.
