Father (Aba) - Daughter (Bat)
Following a father–daughter trip fifteen years ago, we set out on a return journey along the Israel National Trail. “Abat” presents five days in a book and a video. The video is the road — a real-time record; the book is the margins — the pause and post-journey processing.
The book is arranged chronologically and follows a fixed daily template: conversation transcripts, ambient audio, footnotes, selected frames from the video, my analog film photographs, my father’s digital nature photographs, and a day-specific response map. The reading experience works as a loop of renewed looking, highlighting gaps in time, place, and relationships.
