Impressions Following Pessoa
The name Almenach expresses a double meaning: diary and movement. The Jewish astronomer and historian Avraham Zerot (1566) compiled an astronomical almanac: tables for calculating the position. These enabled the maritime navigation of the Portuguese ships while documenting the voyage logs; At the same time, for me the name expresses the idea of constant movement, which is the basis of restless human curiosity.
Thus, the restlessness embodied in the word "almanach" brings to mind Portuguese seafaring in a big way, as well as the name and contents of Fernando Pessoa's book in "Sefer Hai Nahat". The origin of the name is in the agricultural calendar in the Syrian-Canaanite space of existence.
The book presents various images, including: preparation sketches, translations by the author, Hovav Rashelbach, of a selection of poems from Pessoa's English poetry, photographs of the author during his travels in Portugal and Israel (photographic sketches), photographs from Pessoa's books (photographic sketches), as well as writing about About Pesua (Miriam Ringel PhD), writing about Pesua in relation to Rashelbach (Terza Jacobson) and writing about the act of photography (Hovav Rashelbach, PhD)

Dr. Hovav Rashelbach (1959) - Senior lecturer at the Art Institute of Oranim College, multidisciplinary artist, designer, and thinker. His teaching focuses on thoughts about the Work of Art, and the Work of Drawing.
