The 14th Istanbul Biennial SALTWATER: A Theory of Thought Forms was curated by Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev and incldued as part of its program a solo show by Bracha Ettinger, And My Heart, Wound-Space Within Me. Eurydice - Medusa. It explored the themes of psychoanalysis, femininity, identity, and history in 15 oil paintings (1992–2013), 75 notebooks (1984–2015), an audio lecture (2015), and an installation (2015). In the project, Ettinger aimed to bring the viewer into her inner world and past experiences. During the Biennial preview, Ettinger held a public seminar "reading” with Griselda Pollock. The exhibition was accompanied by an artist’s book especially conceived for the show, A. And My Heart Wound-Space, with images of Ettinger’s work and texts by Christov-Bakargiev, Pollock, Andrew Benjamin, Nicolas Bourriaud, Christine Buci-Glucksmann, Ruth Kara-Kaniel, Tina Kinsella, Oded Wolkstein, and the artist herself
