Darkness

Darkness - an illustrated tale about coping with loss. Two siblings care for their father as he slowly falls apart. A shattering lamp creates a river of light;
A bird afraid of heights spreads its wings. A physicist negotiates with the sun.

And the darkness, steadily, grows stronger. Darkness is a story about role reversal - about a parent becoming a child, and children becoming parents to their father. About a river of good intentions flooding the house, threatening to drown it; a story of a man losing himself from within. What remains when you've run out?

Darkness is a 40-page illustrated book. All illustrations and text were drawn by hand using colored pencils. The project was created as a graduation project in the Department of Visual Communication at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, under the guidance of Nomi Geiger, and was published in 2024.
