Drawing Time
Noga Linchevsky
2019
The artist's book results from "Drawing Time," an exhibition which was on display at the Mishkan Museum of Art, Ein Harod, 2016-2017, and curated by Yaniv Shapira.
The artist's book is based on the work journal preceding the exhibition, comprising thoughts, experiments, revelations, and discoveries about the architecture of the building, the Pillars Wall, and the installation there. It also includes the sketches, preparatory drawings, and photographs that accompanied the creative processes.
The book attempts an X-ray-like reflection of the process that took place and the time it entailed, mapping the documentary materials while aligning with the ongoing act of marking time: winter, spring, summer, autumn. It gathers testimonies and documentation alongside my personal and speculative perspective on the architecture of the Tabernacle.
