Echoes of Ink (1)

Belle Shafir

2003

This drawing reflects my ongoing search for personal expression through intuitive mark-making. The dense, spiraling form represents my inner world—contained, layered, and complex—while the red gestures give voice to emotions that resist control. The fine line that connects them is like a thread of memory, stitching together the fragmented parts of identity.
