The book is composed of documented conversations conducted by the artist in Europe with Chen, Yaakov, Katharina, and Dario—each connected to her in a different way—alongside a series of photographs from those encounters.
The conversations presented in the book unfold as a stream of speech, at times fluid and at times fragmented, becoming a singular text through minimal editing. Together with the documentary photographs, the narratives are conveyed in a dynamic and natural manner, sketching layered portraits of the figures, tracing the relationships between the artist and her interlocutors, and conveying their shared moments in a vivid and intimate way.
The chapter titles are the names originally given to the various recordings, which were later transcribed. The book is small in format yet thick, with thin paper and a flexible binding—resulting in an object with a strong material presence that resonates with both literary and artistic traditions.

Carmelle Rubinstein (b. 1983) lives and works in Tel Aviv–Jaffa. She holds a B.A. in Literature, Philosophy, and East Asian Studies from Tel Aviv University and a B.Des. in Visual Communication from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. Her work engages with the singularity of the human encounter through site-sensitive observation, long-term processes, and sustained editorial practice. Working in analogue photography and editorial structures, she translates documentary research into visual and textual narrative forms.
