Irit Abba has been involved in pottery for about five decades and is one of the most prominent creators in the field of ceramic design in Israel. Her works have been shown in many exhibitions in Israel and around the world, six of which are solo exhibitions. Her works are in the collections of the Israel Museum, the Tel Aviv Museum and private collections. Abba is a graduate of the ceramic design department at Bezalel, where she has been a lecturer since the 1980s and has been educating generations of contemporary potters. In her independent work, Abba continues to create and challenge the boundaries of the material and the field, in her innovative works and her unique handprint.
