Let My Right Hand Forget

Since October 7th, we have been living in a continuous reality of war and rupture. This book presents the testimonies of twenty soldiers who were wounded and underwent limb amputation. Against their will, their bodies now bear a dual pain, both personal and collective, intimate and national. This painful duality invites us to listen closely to their stories, which shed new light on the broader Israeli narrative. Through personal testimonies and portrait photography, we are asked to look directly at those who sacrificed their physical wholeness for us — and, in doing so, to look anew at ourselves.
