The book includes the past three projects of Yanai’s practice. All since the pandemic began in March 2020 and the first lockdown. The delays, rescheduling and uncertainty unleashed new directions and, for the first time in Yanai’s oeuvre, portraits.
A new sense of urgency for what art and painting are for and can do was found after the first paralysis that we all faced together.
