Meonot

Meonot began as a site-specific exhibition held at the British Pool site, near the community of Ma’ona in the Western Galilee. The exhibition opened to the public in September 2022 and ran for three weeks, around the clock. It offered a space for dwelling—for resting and even sleeping—and invited visitors to engage with the various sculptural environments constructed on site.
The book constitutes an additional layer of the Ma’onot project. It offers perspectives that were not visible to viewers during the exhibition and seeks to shift attention away from the lived, physical environment—embedded in place and time—toward the beings that inhabit it: entities endowed with consciousness, soul, and will.

Tachlet Ram was born and raised in Kibbutz Hanita; she lives and works in Tel Aviv. From 2006 to 2010, Ram studied at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, during which time she won the Ilana Alubik Award for Excellence in Art (2010) and the Elaine Cooper Award for Creative Thinking (2008). As part of a student exchange program during her studies at Bezalel, Ram studied at the Kunstakademie Münster in Germany. From 2013 to 2015, Ram continued her studies at the Midrasha Art School, Beit Berl. To date, Ram has presented seven solo exhibitions in Israel, including: the exhibition “Apart from Me” at Artport Gallery (2021), “I Have Never Seen a Dissatisfied Tree” at the Mishkan Art Museum (Ein Harod) [2] (2019), “Third Wheel” at the Center for Contemporary Art (CCA) in Tel Aviv[3] (2017), “Yabala” at the Midrasha Gallery, and others. Her works are featured in group exhibitions at various galleries and museums in Israel and Europe.
