A miniature artist’s book composed of scaled-down prints of original drawings from sketchbooks made over the two years following October 7.
The drawings emerged from a daily practice, serving as both a coping mechanism and a personal filter through which to process reality, a kind of “reverse war diary” focused on moments of movement, beauty, and life in other places and times, as far as possible from the here and now.
Selected images from the sketchbooks have been reduced and printed into an object that moves between book, diary, and miniature, small enough to cradle in both hands and viewed up close.
Published during a time of another war, the book exists within an ongoing movement between destruction and creation.

Nomi Abeliovich (b. 1976) is an artist based in Tel Aviv. She studied architecture at the The Bartlett School of Architecture, London, and holds an M.A. from the University of Gastronomic Sciences; she is a graduate of the Postgraduate Program in Design Curatorial Studies at Shenkar College, Israel. Her work blurs the boundaries between art, architecture, and gastronomy, taking shape through documentation, accumulation, and travel journals. She presented a solo exhibition at BY5 Gallery, Tel Aviv (2024), and participated in group exhibitions including “Beyond Small / Miniature Worlds in Contemporary Art,” Tel Aviv Museum of Art (2026).
