In this book, which meticulously documents the entirety of prints created by Rekefet Viner Omer over the past three decades, the essence of the artist's oeuvre returns to its skeletal manifestation.
The deliberate choice to title and categorize this book with 'skeleton' is far from coincidental, as the engraving serves as a means of mapping the core of her work—acting as the content that bridges the verbal and the visual, and as a material whose modesty is evident, reducing its components and restraining its use allowing for an expanded perusal, even in works that incorporate abundance and excess.
The restraining practice was accompanied by a lexical template that arranged words, images, concepts, and pictures alphabetically. By adhering to this indexed arrangement they offer a means to navigate through one's personal space, rather than a base for an alternative protocol for classifying and sorting works of art. As an innkeeper who has made an unconditional and impartial covenant of hospitality in previous projects, Viner Omer extends an invitation to friends, family, and colleagues to stay in her dictionary hostel.

Painter, born in 1965, lives and works in Tel Aviv.
Rakefet Viner Omer Holds a BA in psychology and film (1990), a diploma in art from the Beit Berl Art College (2000), a degree in art therapy from the Beit Berl Art College (1993) and an MFA in art from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design (2007).
Rakefet has exhibited many solo exhibitions, including at the Sapir Art Gallery, Raw-art Gallery (2022 and 2025),Teddy Artists' Gallery, Jerusalem (2018), Nulovaz Gallery (2017),I.A.I.L.A Los Angeles (curated by Sagi Rafael 2017), Feinberg Projects (2014), Beit Kenner Municipal Gallery, Rishon Lezion (2013), Tabi Gallery (2011), Jerusalem Artists 'House (Meron Sima Prize Exhibition 2010), Kibbutz Gallery (curated by Yael Kaney 2010), Tel Aviv Artists' Workshops (2009),and Janko Dada Museum (2005).

Rakefet is the recipient of the Ministry of Culture Award (2008) and the Miron Sima Award (2010). She also receives the Mifal Apais grant for her engraving catalog -engravings - Skeleton. Other catalogs and artist books that have been published: "Golden Sweat" (2022), Dolt Ouy Os (2011), Imaginary Friends (2011), Do You Think Art Should Be So Direct (2005), all of which accompanied a solo exhibition.
