Squished

Martkovich

2025

An ongoing project of about two years that resulted in a fanzin (in two editions), as well as a solo exhibition. Additionally, it can be seen to hold the beginnings of what one day will be the “object trouves” artist book (2025). “Squished” dealt with objects and creatures found, quite literally, squashed on the streets of Tel Aviv - Jaffa. These were documented through illustration, screen printing and archiving. The initial fanzin created a parallel between these findings and what felt like a permanenet state of being in the city; under the haze of a blazing sun, swimming through the vapours of a 100% humidity.
