The Iron Road

The iron road is an autobiographical graphic novel by the interdisciplinary artists Ira Eduardovna. Following an accident, Eduardovna returns to her hometown in Uzbekistan and discovers her family lineage at the rise and fall of the Soviet Union. The narrative includes personal stories that were directly influenced by political shifts and global history, unfolding on different timelines and in different places - from 2020 in NYC to Uzbekistan and Russia of the early 20 century.
The book was made in parallel with a video installation under the same name.
