Lilian Klapisch was born in Cachan, Paris, France, in 1933. During World War II, she hid with her family in various places. Between the years 1958-1959 she lived in Morocco and in 1969 immigrated to Israel, and settled in Jerusalem. Klappisch's early works are characterized by intense abstraction. From the 70s of the 20th century, she began to move to figurative painting, influenced by classical and modern European art. Throughout all the years of her creation, she works in the field of printing using the techniques of lithography, engraving, and screen printing. These are characterized by the expressiveness of the drawing. Her works are found in museum collections such as the Israel Museum, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, the Haifa Museum of Art and more.
