Wherever I Flow

Hila Laiser Beja

2026

The book brings together works created over more than three decades, most of which have never before been compiled or published in a book or catalogue. It is designed by Avigail Reiner and includes a central essay by Dr. Irena Gordon, alongside short texts by Sagi Rafael. The book also marks the first publication of poems written by the artist.

The book Wherever I Flow presents images that trace the place of the woman in both public and private spheres, the artist’s ongoing engagement with the image of the home—both personal and national—and the relationship between sites that are abandoned or marked by historical and biographical weight, and a conscious freedom and release from dependence on them.

The poems—linguistically edited by Moran Shuv—offer an additional dimension from the artist’s world of emotions and poetic and figurative expression, casting the body of work in a new light and from further original perspectives. The texts were skillfully edited by Ruti Megides and translated into English by Daria Kasovsky.
