Tartakover's Shelf

David Tartakover never stopped making books. Designing books, drawing inside books, sketching in black notebooks—some of which were later scanned and turned into books, while most remain lined up tightly on the shelves of his home, dated, telling the story of his life, which is also the story of our lives. It is nearly impossible to encompass the full scope of Tartakover’s work—Israel Prize laureate and one of the pillars of modern Israeli design. We see his books as anchors in the endless stream of activity—moments of pause, of catching one’s breath. Thank you for your friendship, for your support of us and of Madaf, and thank you for all the books.
