Concertina Book In Progress
Plotter-printed concertina-folded paper, commissioned for an exhibit curated by Tali Kayam, at the Azrieli Gallery, Hadassah Academic College, Jerusalem. Inspired and triggered by a newspaper article from 1975, warning women to "Watch out for Rape,” my drawings and prints are excerpted to become a new narrative. References to wholesome kitchens and domesticity recall playing with bride dolls and fantasies of married life, juxtaposed with the depressing reality that "most rapes occur in the home." In-Progress book on Graphic Memoir Family Secrets continues.
