David Tartkover was born in Haifa, grew up in Jerusalem, and lives in Tel Aviv-Jaffa. At the age of 18 he went to the army, from there to Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, and at the age of 22, he went to London to study graphic design. He returned from there to Jerusalem, then went down to Tel Aviv and settled to work.
