A Portrait of Tel Aviv‑Jaffa

Maïell

2020

Chapter II ‑ Quarantine

During the time of quarantine all over the world, Maïell could produce new photographs, being locked-down together for days on end. Photography became, even more, a medium of experimentation while observing.
New perspectives were offered to the duo: the home interiors, what was seen
through the windows, the rooftops, the empty streets, the street signs. All these new points of view created a fresh vocabulary to portray the city. The production
was intense and seemed endless. Here is a selection that seeks to summarize the second chapter of Maïell’s city portrait of Tel Aviv and Jaffa.
