Michael Rorberger was born in Cheltenham, England, in 1945 and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1948. He holds a BA in Archaeology and Art from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (1971). In the early 1970s, he was active in the “Third Eye” group, which also included Jacques Katmor and Helit Yeshurun. For many years, he has worked as a multidisciplinary artist as well as a music and culture journalist. From 1983 to 2012, he was the editor of the music magazine Volume in the newspapers Ha'Ir and Achbar Ha'Ir. From 1984 to 2021, he taught photography, art, and music at various institutions, including Camera Obscura and the Art Teachers College in Ramat Hasharon.
