Hana

Hagar Cygler

2014

Hana is a collection of photographs found by coincidence in old photo albums at the flea market. This is a collection of 47 photographs, in all of which Hana stands in the same place, at the entrance to her house, dressed in a different outfit each time. The series was shot by Hana’s husband over a decade. The book includes the photographs and text by the artist about finding Hana and Hana’s personal story, and also a text by the curator Yonatan Amir on the project. Hana is an art, photography and fashion book, showing a personal and intimate perspective and provides a rare glimpse into the best fashion of the 1980s.
