For Purim

To mark the holiday of Purim, we chose artist's books disguised as something else. Sometimes the costume is so good that only the credits page reveals that it's an art project and not the thing itself. The moment of confusion - when you're not sure what you're holding in hand - is a moment that will make you fall in love forever. Galia Gur Zeev's "Toda Vida" is disguised as an interior design magazine: from its size, the type of paper, the images that fill the entire page, and the collages designed flawlessly on a Brazilian magazine from the 70s. "Flora, Fauna and the Fantastic" by Geffen Refaeli is an imaginary lexicon of local beings—crossbreeds of plants, animals, microorganisms, and minerals. Keren Gueller's "Florence Syndrome" is disguised as a guide to mental disorders. May we have more books in costume and a good Purim.
